Quick Guide
  • Fulmintis, Irisalis and Stellarys are sensible damage candidates; Glacy, Gracewing and Somniwing answer different support needs.
  • This is a role-based editorial shortlist, not a tested damage ranking. Matchups, available skills and team support can change the order.

What these tiers actually mean

Start with the job you need filled. A strong damage dealer can't fix a team that runs out of EP, and a healer isn't interchangeable with a creature that only buffs damage. The shortlist below favors picks with a clear use case in released-game community guides. It doesn't assign a universal place to every form or pretend that an S-tier label guarantees an easy fight.

Use S as a priority to investigate for that role, A as a strong specialist, and situational as a pick that needs a particular setup. Those labels are editorial recommendations, rather than a consensus ranking. The same creature can move between them when you change modes. A support built around an ultimate, for example, loses much of its appeal if your chosen activity won't let it use that ultimate.

These priorities assume the relevant creature and skills are within reach. They aren't a cheapest-to-build ranking. If a form needs a quest or weather condition you haven't unlocked, use a working alternative instead of pausing the rest of your team for a tier letter.

Don't read this as a shopping list that requires every creature at once. Start with a damage dealer you like, then fill the reason your last attempt failed. If you survived but missed the timer, look at damage support and EP uptime. If you lost control of a crowd, a control skill may do more for the run than a small damage increase. If repeated status effects are the problem, look at a support's utility instead of its tier letter.

Which damage dealer deserves your resources?

Fulmintis is a recurring recommendation because its critical-hit game plan fits the lightning support package well. That doesn't mean its Prismana form is an automatic upgrade. Its elemental profile changes, so a version that's comfortable against one opponent may be much riskier against another. Read the actual form and matchup before spending resources just because the creature is rarer.

Irisalis has strong advocates in the combat discussion, especially when backed by grass-focused support. Stellarys is attractive if you'd rather play at range. But even its supporters point out a practical catch: stars and meteors can be blocked by walls or roofs. If an attack is repeatedly hitting the room instead of the enemy, changing your position matters more than copying a higher-ranked build.

Ignitis and Scorchhowl make more sense when you understand their jobs. The former is discussed as a snowballing option for groups; the latter is favored for burst damage and charged attacks. Those are different strengths. A creature that shines while chaining kills doesn't necessarily keep the same advantage against one boss with no adds.

The supports that change a team

Glacy is the easiest healing recommendation to understand: it helps keep your team alive without asking you to build an elaborate critical-hit engine first. Its Prismana form is valued for Glimmer Shot's offensive support. Gracewing offers another route, with healing and cleansing utility. Neither choice means you should bench a healer that's already keeping your current team healthy.

For EP, compare what you can actually activate. Besauce is praised for accessible recovery, while Somniwing brings a broader energy toolkit, including an ultimate. A team that already needs someone else's ultimate may prefer a recovery option that doesn't compete for that role. That's a real team-building decision, not evidence that one battery is always worse.

Specialists earn their place by helping the creature you already use. Luminelle is a lightning support candidate, Leafy is especially appealing around grass, and Piopiota helps a Sherro team set up its water-based attacks. Adding a second damage dealer without fixing that setup can leave both of them performing below expectations.

Why Egg Heist and Trainer rankings disagree

Egg Heist puts crowd control and survival under a different spotlight. A player in the role-tier discussion recommends Hexxin's Black Hole to gather enemies, then follows with Lunara's damage and support skills. That's a reported approach to the mode, not proof that Hexxin is the highest-damage creature everywhere. It also explains why a list focused on isolated bosses can undervalue a control pick.

Be careful with support restrictions, too. The combat-tier discussion specifically challenges rankings that assume every creature can use its whole kit in every activity. Melloblum's ultimate-based value is a good example: a great full-kit support can be a much less compelling pick when only a restricted support skill is available. Check the activity before copying the lineup.

Break specialists are another point of disagreement. One list initially downplayed them, while commenters argued that frequent break windows reduce incoming pressure and make difficult bosses much easier to manage. Treat that as a choice to test: if your team struggles to create safe damage windows, try improving break pressure before replacing your main DPS.

A different form needs a reason

A Prismana label doesn't make the base creature obsolete. Lex's Prismana guide separates extra skills, altered elements and the strength of the underlying kit. That is a better way to compare forms than rarity alone. Look for the change you'll actually use: a new support skill, a useful attack element, or a defensive profile that fits the encounter.

The Rookey discussion raises the same issue for regional forms. Players question why forms with similar typing are separated without an explanation. Before accepting that split, ask what changed in the relevant skills, matchup or acquisition effort. If a tier list can't explain its choice, keep your preferred form and judge it by the fights you need it to win.
